I have a HD SE glasspack muffler on my 96 using a Swedish brand dual wall head pipe, it was a drag pipe but I cut it off to length for the HDSE muffler and used it as a head pipe. Probably 4 " longer than stock. The muffler fits inside the outside pipe and over the inside pipe and I use no clamps or sealers. Made an adapter that goes from the OEM bracket to the HDSE that seems to be working well. really like the sound and appearance.
I previously had a HD dual taper stock muffler on the stock headpipe but it wasn't much improvement over stock. Also ran a SuperTrapp for the Savage for a while but wanted to try the SE after I got a set of take offs on sale in a nearby town HD dealer. The pipe I got from Frank here on the web page when he was through with it. He ordered it from Sweden at great expense. I also tried the HH drag pipe, as a drag pipe and a header for the other 3 mufflers. As it is thin single wall it was very noisy even with a the 84db rated HDSE. I think Raask is the name of the Swedish accessory company.
